Looking to get a 2001 9-5
Hi,
I was looking at a 2001 9-5, I believe it''s the Aero model. The only problem with it currently is the guy said he had a CEL and a Mass Air Flow sensor issue popped up. However, he resets it and it stays off for a few hundred miles. However, he was able to pass emissions in CT.
I was wondering if anyone else knows what possible issue/fix this is, and if it''s a nightmare to fix or something that just requires maybe a new MAF to be plugged in. I don''t want to buy a headache, but if it''s a simple and relatively inexpensive fix I''d consider the vehicle. Anything else I should look out for?
Is this an Aero model:

The Aero is a beast! If the issue is truely the MAF sensor than you just need a new one. DOes he have an aftermarket intake installed or may be an unrecirculated dump valve? If there are modifications to the intake some of them may cause a CEL and it''s usually an easy remedy.
