Problems with an '03 9-3 Arc - 11/26/2007 6:58:18 AM    mmayo6216   Posts: 7 Joined: 11/26/2007 Status: offline OK...I have an '03 Saab 9-3 Arc 2.0T with an auto tranny and just over 62,000 miles on it. I have been having a few problems with it. First off...the tranny had to be replaced at 49,000 miles. But now my SID is telling me that it is time for service, My rear passanger door will lose all power from time to time (meaning that the lights on the door will not light up, the lock will not work and the window will not work), also as of yesterday when I stop at a light or stop sign and let the car idle...the RPMs will go down to the idle area and then they will drop farther down and then spike up causing the car to jolt forward and shake. It almost sounds like it is going to stall. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with my car??? I have never had a Saab before and I am lame when it comes to all this stuff. Anything would be much appreciated!! Post #: 1

I have been using the same gas I always do...but I might have gotten a bad batch. Do you have any idea about the door? That just baffles me...the dealer has no idea because when they look at it there is no code in the computer... (in reply to Roto) Post #: 3

The Saab dealership told me to replace the serpentine belt and tensioner, and it's good as new. I thought it was strange, and expected the plugs to fix it as well.
