maybe we are talking about different hoses?

http://store.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=57-0641

see here for the complete kit. I am talking about the long hose shown in the picture.

see here for the instructions, I followed them exactly.

Yeah, we were talking about different hoses.  I would say the CEL was still MAF related...must have been a leak right after it.

OK Roto, I finally got the car inspected, now I can get back to this.

I may have found the leak you were talking about. I was installing a Boost Gauge and noticed one of the vaccuum lines had a slice in it. I fixed it and I will see what happens once I re-install the intake.

about the boost gauge, I tapped into the vac line coming from the boost controller that runs to the turbo housing, I am reading 8-10lbs of boost but it does not register and VAC. Any ideas??

I spoke to a guy that has had 7 Saabs. He stated that the Engine light was coming on due to the increase of air flowing to the turbo. The boost controller was confused thinking that the turbo was overboosting and would shut down.

He also said that I would have to get the car re-programed in order to compensate for this.

Do you think a manual boost controller would work without re-programming??

He also helped me with the boost gauge. We tapped into a vac line coming off the manifold instead of the turbo itself. It works great now.
