Hi,my name is Xavier L., and I live in south texas, and I am currently looking at buying a new 07' Saab 9-5, and wanted to know if you out there(saab 9-5 owners), are satisfied with your vehicle? Have you had any mechanical problems, etc. How long do you usally keep the vehicle for? Is it worth $35-41,000 ? Thanks, Xavier Lozano

What do you mean with how long? You mean the lifetime of the vehicle? The lifetime depends on the owner like all cars.

We purchased my wife's car, 2000 9-5 wagon, January 2005. We love the car. The car appears to have been well cared for and the only major problem we have had, was the turbocharger. We bought it used from a non-Saab dealer, who replaced lots of stuff (i.e. brakes, tires, oil, etc.) That was probably the problem. Once you use synthetic oil, you should ONLY use synthetic oil. Anyway once I changed the oil her car started producing more smoke than a signal fire in less than a weak. Mechanic says bearings in turbo where eaten up and needed to be replaced. My wife and I have been married for over 10 years now, and she has gone through three brand new cars and two used cars. This being her sixth car in 10 years, she loves it so much, she has told me she wants to keep it until it falls apart. She is very pleased with it. So am I. Brian
